QuickBooks POS Mobile Sync 2013It’s been a long time in the making, but 2013 is finally here!  This is the first release since Fall of 2010, and Intuit has placed a great deal of emphasis on Mobile Sync capabilities.  So what exactly is this, and how can it help you?

If you haven’t heard about GoPayment yet, it’s quite frankly one of the coolest things since sliced bread.  GoPayment is an App that can be loaded on your mobile device, and programmed to process credit card payments on the go, depositing the funds right to your bank account.  You simply plug the free card reader into your mobile device, swipe the card, and have the customer sign the screen on your phone or tablet!  The best part about GoPayment is that there are no contracts, no monthly charges, no monthly minimums.  So you literally pay for each time you swipe a card, and when you’re not using it, you’re not paying for it.

Point of Sale 2013 took  GoPayment one step further, allowing you to integrate and sell Items from your Point of Sale database on your mobile device, and automatically sync the transaction back to Point of Sale, updating your inventory and sales figures at the same time.  So it takes a simple payment processing App, and ties it to POS to create a terrific solution for POS users who hold occasional off-site sales events or offer off-site services that need to be paid for at the time of the service.

Mobile Sync wasn’t the only thing Intuit focused on for this release.  They also worked on improving the User Interface with visual task reminders, improved  navigation screens and more.  Contact Tracy for a free trial version of the software and have a look for yourself!
